Snippet: Tragic Shooting
This is a tragic shooting that I don’t want to turn political, but in light of the current debates in Washington and around the country, I think it’s prudent to mention.
A fifteen year old girl, Hadiya Pendleton, was murdered in Chicago this week, only a week after performing in inaugural events for President Barack Obama.
“Hadiya belonged to the King College Prep High School band, which performed at several inaugural events in Washington, D.C,” Fox News reports. “She was remembered by friends as a lover of books.”
Despite some of the strictest gun laws in the country, Chicago has some of the worst violent crime in the nation. Why? Evil people who will murder do not care about regulatory laws. It only disarms innocent people.
